If it were not for this crazy out of control corrupt government, my life would literally be perfect. Even my agonizingly painful battered knees are livable, but the enemies of America infesting our government have got to go.
I fight with all my might and resources on a daily, if not hourly basis to spotlight the cockroaches everywhere I go, and it is getting scarier and more dangerous all the time to speak out in America like I do. But I give you my word, I will never back down and I will never giveup.
In fact, as the greatest most enjoyable rock-n-roll tour of my life throttles intensely all across America on through the end of the summer 2012, I am doing more media interviews all the time and finally feel that America is slowly but surely waking up to the level of criminal abuse of power and corruption in the Obama administration and so prevalent across this otherwise great country.
I can honestly and happily tell you that Texas is indeed the last best place. We are not perfect yet, but we are incredibly ahead of the pack when it comes to quality of life and proper Constitutional representation by the great Governor Rick Perry, Attorney General Gregg Abbot and great statesmen like Ron Paul, Bill Flores, Louie Gohmert and many others.
But never forget, we also have America hating Obama clones like Sheila Jackson Lee who represent all that is wrong with America and Texas.
Remain engaged Texas, we are different and we are better. Let’s make sure we keep it that way. November 2012 is literally do or die for the American Dream. I pray that the embarrassing apathy that got us here is being chipped away in Texas. If you are not registered to vote, doing your “we the people” research and activism and getting everyone you know to do the same, we will end up with exactly what we deserve, and I for one firmly believe we deserve better than the terrible mess we have right now. Fight like Texans.
Me, I get up as early every day as my weary old rock-n-roll bones allow me to, share a cup of Nuge Java with Mrs. Nugent, hit the laptop to answer my tsunami of Emails and send out my recent interviews and writings to all my editors.
Then my first order of ranch biz is to let the dogs out of their kennels, run them a bit, do a little retriever training, take care of various chores and cleanup, then fire up the Polaris for a SpiritWild Ranch fence, traps and feeder check.
There is always a little repair work to perform here and there, maybe a limb or branches to chainsaw off the fence or off the trails, a little Hang Em High feeder or water-crossing touch-up, and I usually fire-up the Challenger tractor and groom the lanes with my Road Boss grader.
After a few hours of this wonderful hands-on ranching fun, I head back to the house for some more computer work, and every day I conduct numerous phone interviews with radio shows, magazines, newspapers, blogs and other media all around the world.
In a typical day, I get the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth about guns, hunting, conservation, private property rights, the self-evident truth about the US Constitution and Bill of Rights to anywhere from a few million people to a few hundred million people.
Of course during the months of September, October, November, December, January and February, my first order of business each and every day is to get to my deerstand before first light. I assure you, I never fail to accomplish this glowing priority of my American Dream.
Since 90+% of my hunting is done on our homegrounds right out my backdoor, it makes it all that much better, and in fact, I would have it no other way.
Through our Sunrize Safaris, I guide hundreds of hunters each fall and winter at our Texas and Michigan hunting grounds, plus my annual adventures at the YO Ranch, Kenedy Ranch and Stasney’s Cook Ranch as well. We also book and guide hunters in many other states and Canadian provinces, including Africa and beyond on occasion.
The lyrics to my song Workin Hard Playin Hard say it all.
“I’m workin hard to earn my way, but lucky me my work is play.”
Priorities, my friends. Plain and simple, good old fashioned priorities.
Rock-n-roll, hunting, fishing, trapping and every imaginable variation thereof has been my life forever. I feel incredibly blessed to have figured out what turns me on the most, way back when I was a little kid in Detroit. Couldn’t stop hunting, and couldn’t stop rocking, and it has kept me fascinated and intrigued for more than 63 years, so far.
Pretty simple stuff when you think about it. But now more than ever, the important thing is to promote and fight for the freedoms that guarantee our unique American pursuit of happiness. The more we fight, the more secure this sacred experiment in self-government will remain.
Live to fight, fight to live. Live free or die.
