On October 1, I told you about the Ultimate Fishing Tundra, scheduled to be debut in Las Vegas on October 30.  Smart folks that they are, they have given us a sneak peek – including photos.  Bassmaster Elite pro angler Britt Myers is behind the custom truck, with input from the Toyota Tundra Pro Angler team.

Ultimate Fishing Toyota Tundra

Basis for the vehicle is a 2012 Tundra Crew Max with great tow and payload capacities.  Under the hood, the engine is a 5.7-liter i-Force DOHC V8, with a TRD supercharger and TRD exhaust system, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.   For the suspension and brakes, Toyota and Myers speced a Bulletproof 12-inch suspension lift kit, Fox shocks and a coil-over system, along with the TRD Big Brake kit.

Motorized storage and delivery system for fishing gear

In case you what to build one in your garage, the exterior features Nitto 30″x15.50″x20 Mud Grappler tires, ATX 20″x11″ wheels, Bushwacker fender flares, and a custom Fab Four pre-runner style front bumper and Warn 16k winch system.  There is a custom grille from Rigid Industries who also provided exterior LED lighting.  Amp Research side steps, bed steps and bumper steps offer easy access to the cusstom-built fishing rod tubes and other storage, stocked with Quantum rods and reels and Berkley bait and tools.

Tundra Ultimate Fishing Truck Interior

On the inside, there is a custom-fabricated console that runs from the dash to the rear cabin wall.  Three 8″ Kicker subwoofers and a TV monitor are mounted in the console and the door panels have been modified to accept additional speakers and video monitors, and for a Navionics lake-mapping option.  There is also a custom light switch panel in the center console.  It is all set off with an interior color change from gray to black and yellow custom upholstery with “Toyota Fishing Team” embroidery.

Myers says that the bed-area tackle storage system with automatic, motorized delivery system “looks li8ke a Bass Pro Shop aisle…(with) tackle, reels and even a refrigerator.”

I tried to get you a price tag on this mighty fishing truck, but no go.  As with many one-off concept type vehicles no one was able to quote me a price that included vehicle, modification materials and labor.  I suspect, however, that if you were a serious buyer, a call to the Britt Myers operation might give you more info.  As for me, I’d just like to try it out.
