The Bassmaster Classic Expo at the George R. Brown Convention Center has been a huge success.

The officials counts are not in but there is a good chance it will break former Classic records with wall to wall fishing fans from around the country.

One of the best things in my perspective to see is companies giving back at the event and that is exactly what I saw Saturday with Flambeau and The Ike Foundation founded in 2014 by Bassmaster Elite Series icon Mike Iaconelli.

The Ike Foundation will assist civic organizations, existing youth fishing organizations, and other charitable organizations in sponsoring events and functions which promote fishing to both inner city and rural youth. These events and functions will teach young people the sport of fishing, the ecology of the outdoors and the responsibility each person has in order to maintain our planets natural resources.

Flambeau gave out out tackle boxes to kids on Saturday  and as you can tell by these smiles they were appreciated.

Kudos to everyone who gives back to children and invests in their lives.
