Just in case one .45 ACP 1911 wasn’t enough:
As much as a photoshop joke that this seems, This 2011 by Arsenal Firearms is the real deal. I’m sure it won’t be cheap. My first thoughts (aside from “are you kidding me?”) was that it will constitute as a “Machine Gun” by the ATF and be non-transferable to civilians, but they also have the option of independent trigger sears. Practical – no. But I’m positive you will be seeing it in wielded by some hollywood villan in a corny action movie soon enough.

Agreed,
Pretty goofy if you ask me.
Just because someting can be done doesn’t mean it should be done.
This seems like a grand way to double your ammo expense and lose all credibility in one easy step.
And if the shooter gets a stovepipe jam with one, the single slide won’t let the other side lock in, so to clear, you’d have to pop out one good round to get the empty brass out of the other.
This reminds me of one of the original Get Smart episodes where the Kaos agents had two .38 special wheel guns mounted on one frame, doubling their fire power over the good guys. This might be where they got their inspiration!
To call this firearm a 1911 is ludicrous. It has nothing to do with a 1911 except that it resembles a 1911. What’s next – A double barreled Remington 1100?
Agreed, not the least bit practical, BUT…can you say double-tap!
