Silenced revolvers mostly appear in hollywood, where everything is fake anyhow. In hollywood guns are magical evil things with heat seeking bullets and scopes work just fine mounted backwards.
The reason you can’t effectively suppress a revolver is because of the cylinder gap. Gas escapes from this gap and the report won’t be muffled in the suppressor at the end of the muzzle.
