Recently I was privileged enough to come and visit with some of the nation’s finest Law Enforcement officers at the LE Range in Alexandria, LA.

I shot with the local FBI agents, Alexandra Police Department, Louisiana State Police and Sheriff’s Department in qualifications and informal competition.  I was able to shoot the FBI quarterly rifle and pistol qualifications where I scored perfect on rifle, and threw one shot off at 25 yards with my pistol to lower my score to 98%.  They also put me through several video simulators where I learned a lot about police training and my own reactions to the situations.  I also finally got to fulfill a lifelong dream of shooting a machine gun (M4 and MP5 in 10mm).  It was a great day at the range and I’ll be updating on both the machine gun shoot and simulator soon.
