North Texas police thought they might have stumbled upon another Boston-style bomber.
A Fort Worth teenager who’d been pulled over had a pressure cooker and some odd ingredients with him.
Police say the driver, 17-year-old Frank Reynolds from Fort Worth, was acting strangely and appeared to be high. They searched his car and in the trunk found all the makings of a bomb: a pressure cooker, fertilizer, fireworks, electrical connectors, and other items that could be components of an explosive device.
An FBI investigation concluded the materials were being used to cultivate hallucinogenic mushrooms, not make a bomb.
