Brandon Kruse said nothing when three attackers set upon him on his way out for sushi and a beer in New Haven, Connecticut. He pulled out a handgun instead.
Kruse was walking from his home to a Japanese restaurant when three men walked toward him. He stepped to the left and one of the men punched him in the head; the two others surrounded him.
The initial attacker punched him again with a closed fist.
Kruse was able to push him back then draw his Sig Sauer P239. The would-be muggers scattered when they saw the handgun. When two of the gang returned to the scene to retrieve some dropped sandals and shopping bags, Kruse held them at gunpoint until two cops arrived.
