Employees of the Smith County Sheriff’s Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife have questioned a woman about a burglary–and the theft of a baby deer–at an East Texas hunting ranch.
The owner told investigators that someone took guns, electronic appliances, and other items from his business.
He thought the stolen property was long gone, until earlier this week when he was checking his game cameras.
The man noticed an image of a woman carrying a fawn on the cameras that matched the date when his property was burglarized.
Investigators said the woman has since been identified and they are preparing charges.
