An Oregon hunter was shocked then surprised when he walked up to the massive elk he downed with a 7mm Magnum from scant feet away.
“We were calling him the unihorn, and everybody was giving me a hard time for shooting him because he was such a rare thing to come across out there in the woods,” said the hunter, Jerry Fraser. “I’ve been getting all kinds of rock star attention from everybody I know. And I never really expected it, that’s for sure.”
The whole experience was amazing, he added.
Though unusual, such odd elk antler formation is not unprecedented. A hunter posted a similar photo to an online hunting message board in 2005.
