2nd Amendment in Action: Thug Shot by Not One, but Two, Armed Gas Station Clerks

Bookmark and Share

Two gas station workers were protecting themselves when they pulled guns and fatally shot a robber, an Ohio prosecutor said Tuesday.

The two employees won’t face charges. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said police interviewed the two clerks, reviewed store videos and a 911 call, and recovered a BB gun that looks like a traditional firearm.

Authorities said 19-year-old Lashawn Daniels went into a Sunoco station in Springfield Township north of Cincinnati early Monday, showing a weapon and demanding money from the clerk working as cashier.

The other clerk was working in the back of the store and saw the robbery under way on surveillance video, authorities said. He hit a police alarm and took up a shotgun, authorities said. When Daniels turned and pointed his weapon, the employee fired, while the cashier retrieved a .40-caliber gun and also fired at Daniels, authorities said.
