It’s been a tough year for one man who in the last two months allegedly tumbled down a cliff in Fort Worth, fell off a bridge in Wise County and was most recently bitten twice by a rattlesnake in Jacksboro.
“The poor guy, he got bit on the leg and then he got bit on the hand,” said Jeremy Clayton, a Jacksboro police officer. “He had two puncture wounds in his hand and in his leg. He was real calm. He walked out of the house and to the ambulance. He was a lot more calm than I would have been if I’d been bitten by a snake.”
After getting bit in the leg, Curry tried to grab the snake and was struck again in the hand.
Clayton said officers searched all over the property but never found a snake.
Curry was transported by helicopter from Jacksboro to Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. Photos taken at the hospital showed the areas around the bites swollen and discolored. He soon walked out of the hospital on his own accord.
The snake bites occurred just two weeks after he’d reportedly fallen off a bridge in Wise County.
