Of the 11 million people believed to be living in the United States illegally, many make their way here by crossing Mexico’s border with Texas. Just last week, a hunter’s game camera in Duval County caught 19 illegal immigrants crossing their land in Concepcion.
The camera is intended to give hunters a chance to see what kind of deer or hogs are on the property, but they’re seeing more people lately. Authorities never spotted the group seen Thursday morning carrying jackets and backpacks. The owners said they had a similar group come through a few weeks back.
Tomorrow, eight U.S. Senators from both parties are expected to unveil a comprehensive immigration bill they claim will provide a path towards citizenship for 11 million immigrants who came here illegally or overstayed their visit.
