An off-leash dog‘s aggression led to a bizarre stabbing incident in Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park. On Monday, May 13, KOMO 4 News reported that after an aggressive dog charged a man in the park, the man then kicked the dog. A fight ensued and the dog’s owner stabbed and slashed the other man multiple times.
The police arrived on the scene on Sunday at 9:50 p.m., where the found the alleged perpetrator, also in his 20s, leaving the park. They arrested him for investigation of assault.
While Cal Anderson Park was recognized by Forbes.com as one of the nation’s best parks in 2009, in recent years, the park has seen a rash of crimes.
Earlier in May, a woman was sexually assaulted in the park and her assailant left only after dog walkers and their dog approached them.
