A ferret caused residents to call 999 (Brit 911) after it terrorized them in their block of flats (Brit apartments).
The ferret, nicknamed Fred, attacked 46-year-old Merrell Smith outside the door of her home for an hour.
Smith suffered wounds to her skin which were treated by paramedics, and also needed a tetanus jab (Brit shot/injection) to ensure there was no risk of infection.
Commenting on the incident, an RSPCA spokesman said the animal-hugger group was currently searching for Fred’s owner.
“The ferret did not appear to have been handled much and was not very friendly,” he said.
