An Arizona senior citizen is under investigation for a second time after authorities discovered 64 cats in her home — two years after she was found to be freezing and eating the animals.
Sheriffs found the animals at Lucienne Touboul’s home in Wittmann on Wednesday. Most of the animals were alive, myFOXphoenix.com reported.
In 2010, a similar raid found 90 cats in the woman’s home — all of which had to be put down because of leukaemia and other illnesses.
At the time, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said the 82-year-old woman admitted to raising the cats, freezing them and then eating them.
Sgt. Brandon Jones said, “With nine frozen cats in the freezer [in 2010] we are pretty confident she meant those statements.”
No cats were found in the freezer Wednesday.
