Bull redfish are the most easily accessible powerhouse fish for saltwater anglers. And while many overlook or consider them to be “gold croaker on steroids” I absolutely adore them. I caught the big fish in this video today at the Sabine Jetties while testing out some new tackle and experimenting with some techniques. More on that part in another entry.
I will leave you with the video and a reminder that you can chum in these big reds. The fishing was terribly slow but a chum line made of mashed menhaden brought in this beast along with a few sharks.
