Real wind/wave code finally cracked!

Have you ever noticed the weather forecaster call for 5-10 mile per hour winds and when you hit your favorite fishing hole found it to be much higher?

What about those times you head offshore expecting 2-3 foot seas and get beat to death?

My new fishing buddy Gabe Krakowski, President of IHuntFish clothing (a killer line of fishing clothes) has found the answer.

“It’s addition,” he said.

“If it says the wind will be 10 to 15 that means you add 10 and 15.”

After getting beat to death this morning when the winds were supposed to be 10 to 15 and finding out it was 25, I think he may be right.

And in fact, there have been dozens of times when adding the predictions for waves would have nailed it on the head. The amazing thing Gabe is not a meterologist and he has found a way to gauge the fishing weather better than anyone I know.

He is of course kidding around (well sort of) but don’t you think this method sounds eerily accurate?

Gabe's formula is so dead on, he has to hide his face in photos as to not be identified by National Weather Service officials. Just kidding! He does look cool in one of the IHuntFish buffs though.
