The 2013 Miami International Boat show is coming up, and this is the time and place where many boat manufacturers unveil their latest and greatest creations. Here’s a sneak-peek at three awesome boats that will be on display at the show.
The all-new Sea Born FX 25 will be on display at the 2013 Miami International Boat Show.Sea Born FX 25 – This is an all-new bay boat, with 24’11” LOA, a105″ beam, and just 11″ of draft. It can take up to 300 horses on the transom, which gives it an eye-watering top-end of over 61-MPH. The Sea Born FX25 also has gobs of flare in the bow to take on rough seas, forward and aft aerated release wells, a 10″ jack plate, built-in inwale rodboxes with toe-rails underneath, and a stepped hull. Redfish and speckled trout tournament anglers, watch out!
Grady-White 375 Freedom – This is the newest and biggest dual console boat hitting the water in Miami, but since it’s a Grady-White, you know it’ll still be a fishboat as well as a cruiser. Why build a dual console this massive? There’s room for an entire cabin inside the console area and under the deck, and we’re not just talking about a head compartment. You can expect to find an air-conditioned environment with berths, an entertainment center, and all the comforts of home. What about a galley? Check out the electric grill in the cockpit.
Carolina Skiff 21 Bay - Carolina Skiffs are great fishing and utility boats, but the real news here isn’t this hull – it’s the engine that powers it. BRP has a brand-new 135-HP HO ETEC being premiered on this boat, and it’ll be in the water for hands-on testing – I can’t wait to run it. This powerplant fills the gap between the 115 HO and the 150 HO, and sould be perfect for relatively light, mid-sized platforms like the Carolina Skiff 21 Bay.
