Dad Opens Door to His Shed and Finds This Downright Scary-Looking Insect Hive

When left undisturbed, hive-building insects can construct some pretty remarkable — and large — nests.

This one, while not notable for its size necessarily compared to others we’ve seen, is impressive in its own way given its placement.

A Redditor going by CountBubs posted a photo of the hornets’ nest on the social news site, writing that it was found by his dad in a shed that had gone unopened for a couple years.

The face is a wooden statue that was allegedly already in the shed and that the critters built around.
