Texas: Senate Committee to Hold Interim Hearing on Open Carry and Loosening Restrictions on your Gun Rights Today

Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst (R) has charged the Texas Senate Committee on Agriculture, Rural Affairs & Homeland Security with studying and making recommendations on removing barriers in Texas to the exercise of your Second Amendment rights.  Those recommendations include open carry legislation, which is expected to be filed in the 2015 legislative session.  This committee will hold a public hearingtoday , April 7  in Room E1.016 of the State Capitol.  Invited testimony will be taken, along with public comment.
