While at the range this weekend a fellow asked me how practical it would be to shoot a weapon out of a criminal’s hand. I answered that it is very impractical and dangerous because you have no control over bullet fragmentation and shrapnel. So while it does happen occasionally by chance because the defender’s focus can be on the weapon and thus sights aline on it, there was this one time:
