A Man Recorded His Cliff Dive With a GoPro — Its the ‘Terrifying’ Thing That Happened Next That’s Left Viewers Arguing

A video published online Wednesday appears to show an Australian man leap off a cliff into the Sydney Harbor.

“Close Call with a Great White Shark in Sydney Harbor!” reads the video’s description. “Filmed on a GoPro at Manly jump rock. HOLY S***!”

While many viewers agreed the video was frightening some concluded it was a well-edited hoax.

“What an amazing — if terrifying — experience!” one YouTube commenter wrote.

“Never going swimming again,” another said.

“We all know it is fake, but it was actually well done,” concluded another viewer.  ”If only you adjusted the video to make the setting in an ocean it would’ve been way much more realistic.”
