House of Representatives Votes to Block Virtually ALL of Washington DC’s Gun Laws

The House of Representatives today voted in favor of Washington DC gun owners.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) today offered an amendment to the House Spending Bill today that would essentially defund all gun control efforts in the nation’s capital.

The amendment reads as follows,

None of the funds made available by this Act, including amounts made available under titles IV or VIII, may be used by any authority of government of the District of Columbia to enforce any provisions of the Firearms Registration Amendment Act of 2008 (D.C. Law 17-372), the Inoperable Pistol Amendment Act of 2008 (D.C. Law 17-388) the Firearms Amendment Act of 2008 (D.C. Law 19-170) or the Administrative Disposition for Weapons Offenses Amendment Act of 2012 (D.C. Law 19-295).

The amendment was passed by a voice vote and Rep. Massie called for a roll call vote that has yet to be taken/tallied.
