Game Warden Tweetalong for Dove Season Opener

AUSTIN – Texas game wardens will conduct their third virtual patrol ridealong via Twitter on Monday, September 1 during the opening day of dove season.

The wardens will give the public a first-hand look at what it’s like to be an inland warden on one of their busiest days of the year.

Throughout that day, the agency’s technology warden, also a commissioned game warden, will join wardens in central Texas and tweet continuously what happens. The public is invited to follow along at twitter.com/TexasGameWarden or @TexasGameWarden.

“Our conservation enforcement role is exciting and ever-changing,” says Col. Craig Hunter, Director of Law Enforcement for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. “Using this new social media technology allows us a way to show the public what our game wardens do.”
