Check out the review of the SCOTTeVest Alpha Jacket from our friends over at The Firearms Blog:

After several months of being sold out, SCOTTeVEST restocked their new Brad Thor Alpha Jacket. I immediately ordered one. We posted about the Alpha Jacket back in May. The article detailed some of the main points of interest of the jacket. It briefly touched on the fact that the jacket has large pockets. But it doesn’t quite get across until you try one of these jackets in real life.

I made some videos showing the capabilities of the Alpha Jacket that go far beyond what it was intended to do.

Here I test out the pocket capacity with some broken down rifles.

As I stated in my first video, for $200 you get a very unique jacket that has features that cannot be found in any other jacket. The jacket also does not work as a winter coat as the material is not really designed for keeping warm by itself.. It does have a little bit of bulk to it due to the multiple layer design but it does not function as well as a dedicated cold weather jacket. However if coupled with some appropriate layers like some base layers and some fleece, it works well as a windbreaker and can help you keep warm.
