GMC introduces panther-like Nightfall Edition

2015 GMC Nightfall Edition

The GMC Canyon and its partner, the Chevy Colorado (both introduced about a year ago) have shown that there is life in the mid-size truck segment. They have both received numerous industry awards and I can admit to a truckwriter’s crush.

I have driven them extensively and look forward to doing so again. That they are having an impact on the segment is evident in Toyota’s introduction of a new Tacoma at the Detroit Auto Show and Nissan’s planned new Frontier (probably with a diesel engine option).

Now GMC is bringing out a special edition Canyon that is dangerous looking and should appeal to the part of the market that craves a panther-like look with a lot of sophistication.

The package is being offered on SLE crew cabs (2WD and 4WD) in onyx black in the second quarter of this year. It features many of the options and accessories that early adopters of the Canyon are looking for.

Among the exclusive features are a black grill exclusive to the vehicle, black assist steps,

Nightfall

a factory spray-in bedliner,

Nightfall

18″ multi-spoke aluminum wheels with specially painted inserts, polished exhaust tip, automatic climate control and remote start.

Coupled with all of the standard content that is included, this should make the sexy edition very appealing. There is so much more, too. The Canyon was named Autoweek’s Best of the Best truck award for ’15.

It’s worth noting that, whether you opt for the Nightfall or any of the other Canyons available, you will be treated to one of the most quiet vehicles out there. In it’s class it has no rival for that luxury feel. It also boasts best in class horsepower, fuel economy, and tow capacity. Nice package all the way around.

The Cany0n and the Chevy Colorado were designed to be customized and a wide range of accessories are available through GM.
