Texas seeks input on new bass conservation license plate

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — It’s all about the bass, as in fish.

The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department on Wednesday asked for the public’s help in choosing a new license plate honoring bass fishing.

The redesigned bass conservation license plate will be available this summer. Proceeds will benefit the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department fisheries programs.

One version includes the front view of a largemouth bass. The section option has a side view of the fish.

Agency officials also ask voters to fill out a survey asking whether they currently have a commemorative bass license plate on a vehicle, trailer or motorcycle.
