Lake LBJ and Marble Falls, Texas were buzzing with young anglers the weekend of March 20 with the Texas High School Bass Fishing Tournament in full swing. This was the third and final year the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ area to host the tournament.
Chase Hux and Matt Nicholas of the Wildcat Fishing Team from new Braunfels Christian Academy are the new 2015 Texas High School Bass Fishing Tournament Champions. They beat the second place team by 8 ounces, landing a total of 26 pounds and 15 ounces.
Seventy-three teams entered the tournament, with 41 of those teams delivering the requisite five fish bag at weigh-in. The total weight of all fish caught and released was 753 pounds.
Both members of the winning team received a $2500 scholarship. The second place team each received $1250 scholarships.
