I would have never believed it without the video.
Not only did Alvarez try to seal an AR15 by stuffing down his pants while in a pawn shop, complete with 30 round magazine and bulky “Grip Pod”. He first attempted to take an AK47 style rifle but changed his mind. The original story calls the AR15 an “assault rifle” several times, I’m pretty sure you can ignore that misnomer because it wasn’t a fully automatic, select fire, “assault rifle”.
The shop owner pursued the limping thief and stopped him before he could make his slow getaway.
Alvarez is now being charged with grand theft on a $25,000 bond.
Too bad he wasn’t working with Eric Holder (Fast and Furious), the ATF would have ordered the gun shop owner to help him load his vehicle with more rifles.
