Trinity Oaks – Changing Lives with Hunting and Fishing

There are a lot of organizations out there that use the outdoors, hunting, and fishing to make a difference in people’s lives.  Trinity Oakes is a great organization in Texas that does just that.

Check out their video below:

Trinity Oaks uses hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities to give back and make a difference in the lives of others.

Their programs and services are for underserved populations such as veterans, youth, terminally ill and disabled; who benefit immensely from the outdoors, but otherwise would not be able to afford the experience.

Founded in 2007, Trinity Oaks is a U.S. registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, based in San Antonio, Texas.

Through donor support, Trinity Oaks hosts events for veterans called “Hero Celebrations”. These celebrations are just as much about the hunting and fishing as they are about showing our humble appreciation and immense respect for the brave men and women of the military.

Youth events are a major part of Trinity Oaks’ work. We believe that through education and proper initiation of youth, we can ensure the cultural and aesthetic pleasures of hunting and fishing traditions are cemented within the next generation.

Trinity Oaks has developed a special program called “Dream Trips” that grants a last wish to terminally ill people battling serious illness and their immediate family. These powerful trips uplift the spirits of the participant, as well as support the family through a trying time.

Most uniquely, Trinity Oaks believes the bounty of the harvest must be shared with those less fortunate. We privately process and distribute the surplus meat to faith-based soup kitchens, homeless shelters, orphanages, battered women’s homes, and our military troops overseas.
