If a beefed up version of Ford’s F-150 Raptor is on your radar — whether you win Powerball or not — you are going to be delighted with the 2017 version that Ford showed for the first time today.
An all new 3.5-L EcoBoost engine mated to a new 10-speed transmission and torque-on-demand transfer case provides more power and efficiency than any previous Raptor edition. The new truck is also 500-lbs. lighter than its predecessor due to the use of advance material technology and design improvements.
As with the other F-series trucks, including the new SuperDuty, there is more high strength steel in the new Raptor, combined with the aircraft grade aluminum that has proven so effective in other F-150 models.
The new Raptor will be available in fall of 2016.
