SHOT Show Range Day Finds

SHOT Show is here! Today I was blessed enough to visit the early range day. Here are a few finds.

Kimber K6 Revolver

Kimber has introduced their first revolver – the K6 in .357 Magnum.  It was plenty accurate and had an acceptable double action trigger.  I was fond of the cylinder catch.

This little .380 at the Kimber booth has a groove instead of a set of sights.  I surprised myself by repeatedly hitting headshots.  They might be onto something for small carry guns.

I covered the first generation SeeAll sight last year, but the Gen 2 boasts of tritium illumination, sturdier construction, and more mounting options.

I was able to fire the newly released Silencer Co hybrid suppressor – a universal modular suppressor capable of firing anything up to .45-70, .458 SOCOM and below.
And the Maxim 9mm integrated pistol was surprisingly light.  We weren’t allowed to shoot it, but folks will be happy to know it takes Glock mags.  Price point is supposed to be below $2k

KRISS

Visiting the KRISS booth full of suppressed, full auto SBRs is always fun.  Besides the pistol, carbine with fake suppressor (barrel shroud) and SBR pictured in 9mm and .45ACP they also plan to introduce .40S&W and 10mm models this year.  Hog hunting anyone?

FN Semi Auto SAW

I didn’t feel like waiting in line for trigger time, however they had the new civilian legal semi-automatic SAW up to test fire next to a (restricted) full auto version.

Ruger Rimfire Suppressor

I think this new Ruger suppressor has some great qualities.  It’s strong, has locking stainless baffles, and a low price point.  I hope to review it more in depth in the future.

Springfield CQB

You can now put an AR stock on your SOCOM with the new chassis.

New Savage 110BA Chassis

The Savage 10BA series has always looked awesome, however this new chassis is much more practical.

AIRBOW! By Crosman

You guessed it – shoot a bolt (arrow) at 400+FPS with this $2k PCP airbow.

The Gen 2 9mm SUB 2000 shows that KelTec listens to its customers.  Now you have a threaded muzzle, adjustable stock, railspace, better sights and improved trigger.  Now expanded to use S&W M&P magazines.

Not only is the new Tactical Solutions Ascent suppressor quiet it has ceramic coated lightweight aluminum baffles for easy cleaning and durability.

The Ghost suppressor utilized old school design by including a replaceable “wipe” at the end of the can that the bullet actually passes through.  It will last a couple of dozen rounds.  Will it interfere with accuracy and decrease velocity?  I’d love to have had more time with it to find out.

Glock knows red dot pistols are the future.  Now available are the MOS G17 and G19.

EOTech is getting into the glass magnified optics market.

Another optic capable mount for Glocks, however you won’t have to worry about recoil beating your electronics to death.

And finally – shooting the VLTOR 40mm grenade launcher.  Yeah yeah… it was only chalk.
