I recently ran across an innovation called the Palm Pistol marketed to the disabled who might have trouble operating a traditional handgun.
I know the need is real, I’ve taught students with weaker hands who had trouble operating the slide or had difficulty with a double action trigger. And the Palm Pistol’s thumb trigger and zero bore axis design looks kind of neat, but with 72 parts it’s seems overly complex. At first glance I assumed the ATF would want to classify it as an AOW, but it’s actually been ruled to be a standard pistol.
However with the price tag of $1,400 it’s one expensive single shot .38 special.
What do you think? Great idea? Or completely impractical?
