One of the unique products I have recently field tested this hunting season is Nutri-Plot by KenCor Outdoors. I met the owner of this company through a mutual friend we both knew in the outdoor industry marketing realm. Since my father owns 80 acres of land which he uses for both ranching goats and other livestock as well as deer hunting, we decided we would use the product on some food plots he was growing for hunting season earlier this fall. What is different about this product is that it is a fertilizer for food plots that also has a wildlife attracting element to it as well. It is rare to find both uses from one product and that is the kind of thing I like to try in the field.

While I don’t have game cameras on these food plots to show what is eating on them, I can report back that the fertilizer side of Nutri-Plot is solid. Here are some photos of food plots treated and untreated with Nutri-Plot:

As you can see, it works well for greening up a growing food plot when used correctly. The claim is that it increases plant growth, root development and overall plant health. From what my father and I can tell, it worked faster than the other food plots where we didn’t use the product and it excels in all of the ways it claims to work.

In researching Nutri-Plot, I found many rave reviews on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/nutriproducts/reviews). This was especially true in the wildlife attractant property of this product. Spray some on a pile of corn or natural vegetation in front of a game cam and watch deer, turkey, and wild hogs come in to investigate. The owner of this product line claims in Texas there are more than a few reports of how well it works for attracting the infamous feral hogs of which we have more than a few. I found were 5 star ratings on this product which further instills my confidence in using it now and in the future. Nutri-Plot is sold by the quart or gallon and you can purchase a case of either size variety online and get it shipped straight to your door. In Texas, we don’t have it dealer-direct just yet but I don’t mind paying a shipping cost for something that works well for my hunting needs. I would, however, love to see it in stores here in our great state in the future. To learn more about and purchase some of this product for your own food plot, visit www.Nutri-Plot.com.
