A 30 inch speckled trout is the most sought after trophy fish on the Texas Gulf Coast.
A truly rare and wary creature, anglers prize these catches with the vast majority choosing the conservation ethic of catch, photo and release. We’ve solicited photos of the biggest trout in Texas waters over the years and here are some photos.
Please consider catch-and-release of all trophy trout in Texas water in 2021 and beyond. The Lower and Middle Coast of Texas were hit hard by the coastal freeze of 2021 and to move forward with our fisheries we need to protect the big girls.
But by all means share your photos. These big fish are inspiring!
Send any photos you have of the big trout you’ve caught and released in 2021 to cmoore@fishgame.com.
