Dustin Ellermann Test Fires STI Omni

Here’s a look at the STI Omni pistol, made by STI International of Georgetown, Texas. Texas Fish & Game Tactical Editor Dustin Ellermann was in the STI International booth while touring the 2018 SHOT Show Industry Range Day.

Below are some of his comments while taking a round of test shots with the new STI Omni handgun that the Texas gun maker previewed at Range Day.

“This is the best day at the SHOT Show, because we get to just smell gunpowder and just shoot the stuff, so it’s definitely worth coming out to SHOT early.

This is cool, because now we’ve got the Omni here and they pretty much STI took all the requests that all their customers had and put them into one awesome package.”

“I’m gonna shut up and shoot because I’m loving just pull triggers here! So here we go…”

After emptying a full magazine, “Wow it just it doesn’t move! Sweet! that feels good and that’s slick… all right!”

The 2018 SHOT Show was held in late January in Las Vegas. Hundreds of shooting and hunting industry manufacturers were on hand to display new products for 2018 and beyond. The Industry Range Day was located on a sprawling shooting range facility just outside of Bolder, Nevada.

Texas Fish & Game Tactical Editor Dustin Ellermann and Contributing Editor Dustin Warncke attended Range Day and had a literal field day testing dozens of new firearms, accessories, ammo and other great gear, including a crossbow.
