U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Carrizo Springs Station, along with the Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR) unit rescued a man in distress Monday.
“With the average daily temperature in South Texas well over 100 degrees, crossing the border illegally can quickly become a deadly proposition,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Austin L. Skero II. “Thanks to the commitment, compassion, and quick response of our agents, another potential loss of life was avoided.”
