Festival To Celebrate “The Legend of Boggy Creek”

The 2022 Fouke Monster Festival is fourth year for the event as produced by the Texas Bigfoot Conference.

The event celebrates the Fouke Monster, as well as the classic film, The Legend of Boggy Creek.

This year’s event celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the film, which originally premiered August 17, 1972 in Texarkana, TX and the next night, August 18, 1972, in Shreveport, LA.

This year’s speakers include: the following:

*Ken Gerhard

*Chester Moore (Speaking on his special investigation of human-related dangers in the woods)

*Lyle Blackburn

*Marvin Leeper

Guided bus tours of Fouke and surrounding areas of interest, including filming locations from the film, as well as Fouke Monster sighting locations.

The event will conclude with a screening of the restored, remastered digital version of The Legend of Boggy Creek.

Proceeds from the event give back to the community. Eight scholarships were awarded to Fouke seniors students in May 2022 to assist them in their education going forward after high school.

The Fouke Monster Festival runs Saturday, June 18, 2022 9am – 6:30pm
