That’s the headline from USA Today, regarding four unusual deaths in Austin’s Lady Bird Lake (formerly Town Lake) that has not only Austin but much of Texas wondering what is going on.
Austin Police have issued a statement saying no foul play has been found in the cases, however concerns over a serial killer in the area are widespread..
The reason so many have jumped to the conclusion of something other than typical drownings for these deaths is they fit a pattern seen in several areas around the nation.
This includes a similar situation currently occurring in the Chicago area that involves young men disappearing and then found in water, sometimes weeks later under very unusual circumstances.
The bodies often look as if they’ve been in the water for only days.
This is the number one story in the nation regarding Texas and since it involves a popular urban bass fishing lake, we though it important to share.
If something strange is going on, perhaps an angler will see something and can report to law enforcement. Hopefully this is nothing more than very unfortunate drownings and the public attention will cause officials to enhance safety in the area. If it’s something else, then the safety issue is even more important.
