Flounder Revolution is seeking conservation-minded flounder fishermen.
And from Oct. 10-16 we’re making a special offer.
*The general rule is all anglers who catch, release and photo flounder 20-23 inches also get the Catch, Release & Conserve Award.
For this week only anglers who catch and release any sized flounder in Texas or Louisiana are eligible for a coin.

*Ditto for catch, release and photo entries of flounder measuring 24 inches or better. Each Save The Saddle Blanket token qualifies as an entry for a replica of your flounder that will be drawn Dec. 31. Catches dating back to Jan. 1, 2020 can be recognized. There is a limit of 10 entries each season.

Flounder have a short life cycle in comparison to redfish or speckled trout, living six to seven years.
Some might argue they might as well keep a 24-inch flounder because it will probably be its last year anyway.
I say, why not release that fish and give it one more chance to spawn.
Eat the smaller flounder. I do.
Release the big ones and you can help sustain the fishery for the future and win some awesome prizes.
