Did you know blacktip, spinner, bull and tiger shark numbers are on the rise in the Gulf of Mexico?

Conservation measures enacted more than 20 years ago are having an impact as sharks are becoming increasingly numerous in the Gulf of Mexico.

While it’s great for shark recovery efforts, some anglers are not happy.

There are concerns over shark depredation on hooked sportfish like marlin and tarpon.

And there is also concerns among some anglers from encountering more sharks while wadefishing.
