Texas Fish & Game Editor-In-Chief Chester Moore win big at the Press Club of Southeast Texas awards last Friday in Beaumont.

Moore took first place in five categories and placed in six others for work in broadcast, writing and social media.

His new Dark Outdoors podcast took first place for best podcast and for investigative report.

“It was really cool to win for this podcast because it’s an important project to raise awareness to what’s going on in the wild that almost no on is talking about,” Moore said.

Moore and his wife Lisa at the Press Club of Southeast Texas awards.

“The Press Club is a prestigious organization that is full of talented journalists so that makes winning anything from them a special honor.”

Moore’s longstanding radio program ‘Moore Outdoors” won for best talkshow.

He also won for best personal blog Higher Calling Wildlife and best personal social media presence for his @thechestermoore Instagram.

“These awards inspire me to keep working hard and putting out the best content possible,” Moore said.
