Pan-Seared Redfish with Lemon Butter

Ingredients:

  • 2 redfish fillets (skin on or off)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 lemon (juice + zest)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Recipe Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish:
Pat the fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat the Pan:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  3. Sear the Redfish:
Place fillets skin-side down (if skin-on) and cook for 3–4 minutes until the edges begin to turn golden.
Flip carefully and cook for another 2–3 minutes on the other side until cooked through.

  4. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce:
Reduce heat to low. Add butter and minced garlic to the pan. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add lemon juice and zest. Swirl to combine.

  5. Plate and Serve:
Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the fish. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
