WHEN THE CALENDAR FLIPS to November/December, coastal anglers know the shift is more than just cooler mornings and shorter days.  Fall brings a cascade of changes across the Texas coast, and with them, some of the finest fishing opportunities of the year…

IT IS FINALLY ONE OF my favorite times of the year. A lot of people have moved to the woods to chase after their monster. The water has many fewer boats, pressure is low, and you don’t have to be up early to go catch either. You can leave the early mornings to the duck hunters, and I guarantee they will appreciate that as well.

THIS IS THE TIME of the year we are all beginning to be rewarded from enduring the hellacious summer heat like we do and fall back to the trusted patterns year after year, slow and steady wins the race…

WHILE NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER can produce good days of fishing, this is also the time of year the weather starts to cool off, fronts start to move in, and conditions can be a little unpredictable around the Baffin Bay coastal area…
