From the Texas Bighorn Society. (Fund Created For Fallen Sheep Conservationists)

I write this letter with a heavy heart. As you know, we lost three members of our wildlife conservation family last weekend. A helicopter crash claimed the lives of Texas State Wildlife Veterinarian Dr. Bob Dittmar, Texas Parks and Wildlife Biologist Dewey Stockbridge and Texas Parks and Wildlife Technician Brandon White during the annual Desert Bighorn sheep survey. All three were survived by spouses and children.

The Texas Bighorn Society has been inundated with calls, emails, and texts from everyone inquiring as to how they can help or where they can donate. TBS is setting up a Memorial Fund for the families of our three fallen partners. Donations can be mailed to the TBS office at 1615 West Loop 289, Lubbock, TX 79416 or by calling 806-745-7783. We also have an online donation option at our TBS website: www.texasbighornsociety.org. This is not a TBS fund, as we are merely the central donation site. Once all the donations are collected, the entirety of the fund will be distributed equally to the three surviving families. As TBS is a 501(c)3 organization, all donations are tax-deductible.

Thank you for all for the outpouring of concerns, condolences, and caring. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
