    Freddie Petty, fishing guide has commented on dredging in the Port Isabel area. Dredging is necessary, but don’t throw the sludge or mud back in the same area! This sludge kills the sea grass and I have experienced this process twice in approximately the last seven years. I use to limit consistently on reds and trout in theses areas. Due to this dredging and the lose of sea grass, fishing is not the same! The areas affected by lose of sea grass are Laguna Vista, Holly Beach, Airport Cove, Look Out Point, Unnecessary Island, and the Long Bar area.
