Mossy Oak recently renewed its support of the National Wild Turkey Federation, signing a five-year agreement to continue as official camouflage of the NWTF, official convention sponsor and facilitate mission related activities to conserve the wild turkey and preserve our hunting heritage.

“We are pleased to continue our strong partnership with Mossy Oak,” NWTF Becky Humphries said. “Mossy Oak is equally dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage, and together we can move mountains.”

Wild turkeys are in decline in some states including Louisiana and New York.

New to the agreement is Mossy Oak’s recent pledge of $375,000 over five years to support NWTF’s wild turkey research projects and initiatives throughout the country.

“The NWTF will work with conservation agencies, non-governmental organizations, and universities to develop, review, direct and ultimately invest in wild turkey research to further the conservation of the wild turkey,” said NWTF Director of Conservation Services Mark Hatfield. “Mossy Oak’s support will maximize our ability to match funds with other entities to expand projects. Research is foundational to the NWTF, and we appreciate Mossy Oak’s investment in this important portion of our mission.”

Mossy Oak has been the exclusive camouflage partner of the NWTF since 2016, with its Obsession pattern being the official camouflage of the NWTF. All goods sold with a Mossy Oak Obsession include an NWTF logo in the pattern.

As official convention sponsor, Mossy Oak supports numerous aspects—convention meetings and events, the sport show or exhibit hall, family adventure village, Waterin’ Hole and more—of the NWTF’s annual gathering celebrating a year of conservation successes.

Mossy Oak will continue to sponsor the annual $10,000 NWTF National Dr. James Earl Kennamer Academic Scholarship recognizing an NWTF JAKES member, who is currently a senior high school student, for his or her outstanding academic achievement, community involvement and leaderships roles. In addition, Mossy Oak will continue its support for the Mossy Oak Conservation Leader Award providing $5,000 for an internship in the field of conservation and wildlife to a student leader enrolled in college with a career interest in forestry, wildlife, natural resources or education.

“Having just finished another awesome turkey hunting season, I’m reminded of not only Mossy Oak’s history that started with a desire to hide from turkeys but also of the works of many great people and organizations that have made chasing the wild turkey possible through the years,” said Toxey Haas, founder and CEO of Mossy Oak. “NWTF is top of mind in those efforts. Our continued partnership with NWTF is first and foremost about conservation and caring for the birds we love so much, but it’s also been mutually beneficial for the growth of turkey hunting and product offerings to aid that pursuit. We’re honored to continue being the official camo of NWTF.”
